Oakland Family Services talks children's mental health on WXYZ-TV Detroit

During the coronavirus pandemic, Oakland Family Services has seen a rise in youth depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts and intentions. Specialized Services for Youth Outpatient Supervisor Lauren LaFleur appeared on WXYZ Channel 7 Detroit to speak about suicide warning signs, ways to keep your teen engaged during the pandemic and how to talk to a child or teen who may be depressed.

If your child or another member of your family is struggling with a mental health concern, our Day One counseling program can help. Day One is providing online therapy during the COVID-19 pandemic, and our clinicians work with adults, teens and children age 4 and up to address depression, anxiety, substance use disorder and more.
