Oakland Family Services is now hiring for a variety of positions across our prevention, education and treatment programs! Join our team to help build brighter futures while also building your own brighter professional future.

Our nonprofit agency has served southeast Michigan since 1921 and is a leader in child- and family-focused services. We work with more than 40,000 individuals and 18,000 families each year and have offices in Pontiac, Berkley and Walled Lake. Our service offerings include mental health and substance use disorder treatment, preschool and child care programs, early childhood parenting assistance, foster care and adoption services and more.

Every position at Oakland Family Services comes with a warm, engaging workplace culture and excellent benefits. We offer competitive pay, flexible work schedules, advancement opportunities, work-life balance initiatives and more. Our agency has been named a Michigan Top Workplace for seven years running and was recently named among the very first National Top Workplaces, which means our employees have great things to say about working for Oakland Family Services.

Our staff tell us that they feel connected to their work and our mission — providing individuals and families an opportunity to build brighter futures. Not only are they making real differences in the lives of those we serve, but they also feel so good working for an organization that truly values its employees,” said Kristy Eisenberg, director of Human Resources. “We are committed to providing our staff with opportunities for growth and professional development, and good working relationships with peers and supervisors. We believe in not only building brighter futures for those we serve but also for our dedicated staff.”

Watch Oakland Family Services President and CEO Jaimie Clayton discuss our open positions with WXYZ-TV Channel 7.

We have openings for a wide range of education and experience levels, with some positions open to those with a high school diploma or GED and others requiring master’s level education.

“For all of our openings, a great candidate will have a combination of quantifiable, hard skills that meet the requirements of the agency, as well as soft skills such as enthusiasm, communication skills, engagement and interest,” said Talent Engagement Specialist Suanne Hunt.

Hunt said the agency is also looking for passion, work ethic, a positive attitude, openness to teamwork and alignment with Oakland Family Services’ cultural values. Applicants to all positions can expect a layered interview process that evaluates their skills and engages them to determine the best fit for the agency and for the candidate.
